23.04.12 THE EXPLOITED Tour cancelled / To be rescheduled

Unfortunately The Exploited tour in Aust-NZ is cancelled due to a very serious family situation of the bass player. Rob has travelled today back to Ireland to stay with his family for the next few weeks and therefore The Exploited is not able to make tour. The band is feeling really sorry, not only for Robs situation, but also this tour cancellation and the disappointment for the fans.

"I'm really sorry to have to say this but I'm afraid we'll have to cancel. Apart from feeling sorry for Rob, we're all totally gutted as we were really looking forward to this, but it is out of our control. I don't really know what else to say except for I'm sorry to have to be saying this in every aspect. We'd just like to apologise to the promoter and everyone involved in these gigs and especially all of the people who were coming to see us. There’s no one more disappointed than us!!! So hopefully in the future we can get a chance to come back and play to the people of Australia and New Zealand. "

Soundworks Touring would like to advise that all pre sale ticket holders can receive a refund from the point of purchase. All ticket holders will need organise their refund as these tickets will not be valid for any rescheduled shows.

Soundworks Touring and The Exploited management are currently in discussions to reschedule the tour for the second half of this year. Announcements of the new dates will happen as soon as the information is at hand.

For all the punk fans in Melbourne The Corner Hotel plans to keep the date, Saturday April 28th, as planned.

With the Melbourne punk community in shock after the postponing of The Exploited Australian Tour it has been decided there is only one way to get over it... A Punk Party!
On Saturday 28th April at The Corner Hotel in Richmond yes unfortunately you won’t get The Exploited but you will get the cream of the Melbourne Punk scene ripping it up for only 10 bucks.
Headlined by the 13 years and still going strong Glenn & The Peanut Buttermen with support from blistering newcomers Wolfpack, Perth rockers Chainsaw Hookers, Australia’s best street-punk band The Worst and the excellent Oi! influenced Last Call this is a show not to be missed.

MELBOURNE ICED EARTH VIP

Time: Before the show 6pm – 7.45pm

Location: Billboard The Venue, 170 Russell St Melbourne

Enter at front of the venue from 5.30pm.

Must provide proof of purchase, 18+ only, ID’s will be checked (no ID, no entry)

SYDNEY ICED EARTH VIP

Time: After the show – 11.20pm – 12.30am

Location: The Hifi Bar, 120 Lang Road Moore Park

Upon entry you will be required to have your name crossed off the VIP list.

Must provide proof of purchase, then you will receive your VIP laminate & a wrist band.

You will need to keep these until the end of the show. At the end of the show please show your VIP to staff & security & you will be ushered to the VIP area of the venue.

UK punk rock exponents, THE EXPLOITED, announce supports for their Australian east coast tour this April.

Playing with THE EXPLOITED in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne is Perth hard punk rock outfit, Chainsaw Hookers. Known for their infectious lyrical hooks laced with horror movie themes, the Hookers' live show is a powerful rock onslaught set to annihilate fans. Over the past few years they've been on the road numerous times spreading blood on the east coast of Australia building up a contingency of hardcore supporters.

Gold Coast three-piece, The Scam, will unleash their brand of street punk on first-in punters in Brisbane. In Sydney, authentic Aussie fourth generation punk rock band, Topnovil, and home-town rhythm driven, noisy guitar three piece, Skinpin - who have been receiving a healthy amount of press for the release of their debut album SHIFTING SANDS – and, will get the Manning Bar off to a pounding start, while in Melbourne, rock 'n roll juggernauts,Wolfpack, will open proceedings with their killer punk rock pedigree.

Formed in 1985 by Jon Schaffer , ICED EARTH have created nine studio albums, many of which are considered masterpieces of metal, cementing the band's reputation for crafting exceptionally well-made music. Their latest creation is Dystopia. Perhaps ICED EARTH'S heaviest and most menacing album to date. Featuring bonus tracks, Dystopia will be supported by the most extensive and far reaching world tour in ICED EARTH history and Australia is firmly entrenched on the map for the blazing onslaught!
